Corporate Health Insurance

Give your employees and their families access to private healthcare, increase engagement and retain talent.

What is Corporate Health Insurance?

In short

Corporate (group) health insurance is private health insurance that companies offer employees, and optionally their family members, as a benefit, covering inpatient and outpatient treatment costs at network healthcare providers within policy limits.

Health insurance is one of the most valued benefits for attracting and retaining talented employees. Group policies offer lower premiums and more flexible acceptance terms than individual policies; depending on group size, even pre-existing conditions can be covered.

Plans can be structured according to company budget and employee profile as inpatient only, inpatient + outpatient, or tiered plans for different positions. Within legal limits, health insurance premiums can also offer tax advantages to the employer.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum number of employees for group health insurance?

It varies by insurer, but group policies can generally be issued from a few employees. Acceptance terms become more flexible as the group grows.

Are pre-existing conditions covered?

Depending on group size and insurer terms, pre-existing conditions can be covered. This is a major advantage over individual policies.

How does it differ from complementary health insurance?

Complementary health insurance covers the extra fees at private hospitals contracted with SGK and is more economical. Private health insurance offers a wider provider network and cover independent of SGK. Both can be arranged as group policies.

Scope of cover and limits are determined by the general and special conditions of the issuing insurer.
