What is Compulsory Motor Liability?
Compulsory motor third-party liability insurance ("trafik sigortası") is mandatory for every motor vehicle on the road under Turkish Highway Traffic Law No. 2918 and covers damage the vehicle causes to third parties.
This insurance pays for damage to the other party's vehicle, property or persons in an accident involving your vehicle. Damage to your own vehicle is not covered; for that you need motor own damage (casco) insurance.
Cover limits are set by regulation every year. The premium depends on vehicle type, usage, the province of registration and the no-claims step. For companies with fleets, managing all policies from a single point, tracking renewal dates and coordinating claims brings significant operational relief.

Frequently asked questions
Does compulsory traffic insurance cover damage to my own vehicle?
No. It only covers damage your vehicle causes to third parties. You need casco (motor own damage) insurance for your own vehicle.
What is the no-claims step?
It is the discount or surcharge level determined by the policyholder's past claims. Each claim-free year moves you up a step and lowers the premium; a claim paid for an at-fault accident moves you down.
What happens if a vehicle is driven without traffic insurance?
Vehicles without compulsory traffic insurance are taken off the road and an administrative fine is imposed. In an accident, all damages may also be recovered from the vehicle owner.
Can you manage all our fleet policies in one place?
Yes. We track the policies, renewal dates and claim files of all your vehicles as a single point of contact and obtain quotes from several insurers to offer the best terms.
Scope of cover and limits are determined by the general and special conditions of the issuing insurer.
